Our Commitment
ConnectivTech Inc. is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to the information and services we provide, and we are actively working to meet and maintain accessibility standards.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Accessibility Features
Our website includes the following accessibility features:
Skip Navigation
A "Skip to main content" link at the top of each page allows keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
Semantic HTML
Pages use proper HTML5 landmark regions (header, main, nav, footer) and heading hierarchy to support screen reader navigation.
ARIA Labels
Interactive elements and complex widgets include ARIA labels, roles, and state attributes to communicate their purpose and state to assistive technologies.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements — including menus, buttons, accordions, and forms — are fully accessible via keyboard without requiring a mouse.
Focus Indicators
Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements so keyboard users can always see where focus is located.
Color Contrast
Text and interactive elements maintain sufficient color contrast ratios to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text).
Descriptive Links
Links are written with descriptive text that explains their destination or purpose, rather than generic text like "click here."
Alternative Text
Images include meaningful alternative text, and decorative images are marked appropriately so they are ignored by screen readers.
Resizable Text
Text can be resized up to 200% in browser settings without loss of content or functionality.
Form Accessibility
All form fields include properly associated labels, and error messages are descriptive and programmatically associated with the fields they describe.
Current Page Indicator
The active page is indicated with aria-current="page" in navigation to help screen reader users understand their current location.
Responsive Design
Our website works across all screen sizes and orientations, including when zoomed to 400% as required by WCAG 2.1 criteria 1.4.10.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
ConnectivTech's website is designed to work with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android)
- Voice control: Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Voice Control (macOS/iOS)
- Keyboard navigation: All functionality is available via keyboard without requiring a mouse
- Browser zoom: Content remains accessible when zoomed to 200% or 400%
- High contrast modes: The site is tested with Windows High Contrast Mode
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, we are aware of some areas that may not yet fully meet all criteria:
- Embedded video content (Vimeo) relies on Vimeo's own player accessibility, which may vary
- Third-party forms or integrations may have their own accessibility limitations
- Some older content may not yet be fully optimized for all assistive technologies
We are actively working to address these limitations. If you encounter a specific issue, please let us know.
Standards We Follow
We develop and test our website against the following standards and guidelines:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 — Level AA
- WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices Guide
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (U.S. Federal Standard)
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) digital accessibility guidance
How We Test
We use a combination of automated and manual testing methods:
- Automated scanning tools to identify common accessibility issues
- Manual keyboard navigation testing
- Screen reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver
- Color contrast analysis with WCAG-compliant tools
- Testing with browser zoom levels up to 400%
- Mobile accessibility testing on iOS and Android devices
