Questions & Answers
Everything You Want to Know About Us
Answers to the questions we hear most often from businesses considering ConnectivTech.
Why ConnectivTech
Why Choose ConnectivTech?
Yes — completely. ConnectivTech charges businesses nothing for vendor matching, introductions, or support. Our revenue comes from vendors who pay a referral fee when they win your business. This means our incentives are fully aligned with yours: we only earn when we make the right match.
Directories and marketplaces list vendors and let you search. ConnectivTech does the work — we understand your needs, evaluate our vendor network, and make curated introductions. You don't see hundreds of options. You see two or three that are genuinely right for your situation.
Yes, and we're transparent about it: vendors pay us a referral fee when a client selects them. However, this doesn't bias our recommendations — vendors don't pay different rates based on their quality or position in our network. We make more money by making great matches, not by pushing any specific vendor.
Every vendor in our network goes through an intake process that includes a capabilities review, reference checks, and an assessment of their track record with businesses similar to ours. We also monitor ongoing feedback from clients after introductions and remove vendors who don't meet our standards.
We work with businesses across virtually every industry — from technology and healthcare to manufacturing, professional services, retail, and construction. Our vendor network includes specialists in many industries, so we can often match based on your sector as well as your functional needs.
When to Reach Out
When Should You Contact Us?
Anytime you're thinking about changing or adding a vendor is the right time. That includes: renewing a contract and wondering if there's a better option, entering a new phase of growth that your current vendors can't support, starting a new business initiative that requires a new category of vendor, or simply feeling like you're overpaying for underperformance.
Absolutely. Many of our best engagements come from businesses that aren't in a crisis — they just want to benchmark their current relationship and know what else is out there. There's no obligation to switch, and having a backup option is always smart business.
That's completely fine. We can begin with a discovery conversation that doesn't have any urgency attached to it. Sometimes the most valuable thing we do is help you understand the landscape so you're ready when the time comes.
No. Startups and early-stage businesses often benefit the most from ConnectivTech because they don't have the time or infrastructure to evaluate vendors properly. Getting the right vendors early — before bad habits or locked-in contracts take hold — sets a much stronger foundation.
Not Sure What You Need
Not Sure What You Need?
This is actually one of the most common situations we work in. Our discovery call is designed to help you clarify what you need, not just confirm what you already know. Sometimes we identify that a client needs something different from what they thought going in — and we'd rather get that right than make a fast but wrong introduction.
Yes. Many businesses come to us with needs across more than one area — for example, they need both a new IT provider and a payroll solution. We can manage parallel searches and stage the introductions based on your priority and bandwidth.
That's something we can help you think through during the discovery call. We're not in the business of selling you a vendor if what you really need is an internal fix. If that's the case, we'll tell you — and we may be able to point you toward a consultant or other resource that's more appropriate.
How It Works
How the Process Works
Most clients receive vendor introductions within 5–7 business days of their discovery call. The full process — from first call to signed vendor agreement — typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on how quickly you want to move and how complex your requirements are.
Typically 2–3. We deliberately don't overwhelm you with options. Our job is to do the evaluation work upfront so that the vendors you meet are all strong candidates — not a starting list that you need to cut down yourself.
We go back and search again. Our success depends on making good matches, so we don't consider the engagement closed until you've found what you're looking for — or until we've mutually agreed that the right fit isn't available in our network right now.
Yes. We check in at 30, 60, and 90 days after onboarding to confirm the relationship is performing as expected. If there are issues, we help you address them — or, if needed, we restart the search.
Absolutely. We serve businesses in all 50 states. While we're headquartered in Marlborough, MA, our entire process is handled remotely and our vendor network has national reach.
